I believe young children learn best through meaningful play, exploration, and positive relationships. At Happy Mandarin Academy, I strive to create a warm, home-like environment where every child feels safe, loved, respected, and valued.

Children are encouraged to follow their curiosity, make choices, build independence, and learn at their own pace through hands-on experiences and play. English and Mandarin are naturally incorporated into everyday conversations, songs, stories, play, and activities, allowing children to experience both languages in a comfortable and meaningful way.

Social-emotional learning is an important part of my teaching philosophy. I help children learn to recognize and name their emotions, understand the feelings of others, communicate what they need, and develop healthy ways to regulate big feelings. These aren’t simply preschool skills. They are lifelong skills that can help children build healthy relationships, navigate challenges, and understand themselves as they grow.

My goal is to nurture the whole child, supporting social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development while helping each child become confident, kind, curious, resilient, and independent.

Most importantly, I want Happy Mandarin Academy to be a place where children can feel at home, make friends, explore their curiosity, understand their emotions, and grow surrounded by love.
